1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using NOREN ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Farkas József ("I", "me", or "my"), an individual developer based in Hungary.
2. The Service
NOREN is a daily logic puzzle application for iOS. It provides:
- Daily puzzle content (Slitherlink, Queens, and additional puzzle types)
- Global, country-level, and friends leaderboards
- A streak tracking and tier ranking system
- An optional Premium subscription with extended archive access
The App is provided "as is". I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You may use the App as a guest for up to 3 solves. To access leaderboards and save your progress, you must create an account via Sign in with Apple. You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to create an account.
3.2 Your Responsibilities
- Choose a username that is not offensive, deceptive, or in violation of third-party rights
- Maintain the security of your Apple account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
3.3 Account Termination
I may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in cheating or abuse of the leaderboard system, or engage in conduct harmful to other users. You may delete your account at any time via Profile > Account > Delete Account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to manipulate puzzle times or rankings
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or puzzle solutions
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law
- Harass or harm other users through the friends or leaderboard features
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App's backend systems
5. Premium Subscription
5.1 Subscription Plans
NOREN Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, processed entirely through Apple In-App Purchase. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
5.2 No Free Trial
NOREN Premium subscriptions do not include a free trial. You can experience the full app for free via the Free tier (today's puzzle for every game, a 7-day rolling archive, and all leaderboard and streak features) before deciding to subscribe. Your payment method is charged immediately upon purchase of a Premium subscription.
5.3 Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel via the App Store account settings on your device. All billing is handled by Apple.
5.4 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple: support.apple.com/billing. I have no ability to issue refunds directly.
5.5 Changes to Pricing
I may adjust subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice via in-app message. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in NOREN — including puzzle designs, graphics, brand name, typography, icons, and software — is owned by Farkas József or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. The NOREN name and logo are trademarks of Farkas József and may not be used without prior written permission.
7. Leaderboards and Rankings
Leaderboard positions, tier rankings, and percentile scores are calculated automatically based on solve times and accuracy. I reserve the right to adjust ranking algorithms, tier thresholds, or remove entries that result from cheating or technical errors. Rankings carry no monetary or prize value.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. I do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Puzzle content is designed to have a unique solution; however, I do not guarantee perfection in all generated puzzles.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Farkas József shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of streak progress or ranking position.
My total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for a Premium subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. EU consumers also benefit from the mandatory protective provisions of their country of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms
Material changes will be notified via in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
